I became a dentist because I like working with my hands and helping people feel better. I find being able to impact people’s dental health positively is most enjoyable. It’s fulfilling to see people happy and appreciative of the work I’ve carried out.
I was an associate at MarPark Dental care before I bought into it and I wanted to become the owner of this office because I enjoy working here and it challenges me professionally every day. I became owner of MarPark Dental Care in 2009. The most rewarding part of owning a business is being able to make decisions that can change the direction of the practice and move it toward a better place.
As far as the progression of the business goes, I find that it is more organized now and the staff is more comfortable with their role. We’ve gotten to know many families and individuals - that we treat - much better.
MarPark’s core values align closely with my own business philosophy: "To work alongside each other as a cohesive team committed to providing quality dental care to our patients, striving daily to treat everyone with respect and kindness. For every action we take, we will be fully accountable and responsible and allow the principles of honesty and integrity to guide us."
As an individual, I believe what sets me apart from the others is my honesty, integrity, sense of responsibility, ability to work well with others, and compassion. I attribute my success thus far to a lot of hard work and dedication. Seeing the business improve and grow with time gives me a great sense of fulfillment.
When I am not at work, I’m trying to raise two individuals to reach their full potential as adults. I also enjoy baking and reading.
